Yesterday I came home to the unfortunate surprise that my cable was out. And since my internet is provided through my cable company, my internet was out as well. Now, for someone who spends their nights watching TV and playing on Facebook (who, me???!!!), this is a problem. I had to READ and CLEAN last night! Which, turns out, that was actually a good thing. Well, I had my "service call" set up for today between 10 and 12. Thankfully, my supervisor had to stay home with her sick son today so I actually had the day off to wait on them to come! Thank you sick son! (But, I hope you get well soon...). Anyways, the cable guy actually came when they said he would! AMAZING! When he came inside to tell me what he found, I was SHOCKED.
Apparently, my cable was out because someone had tried to cut and STEAL my cable!! WHAT?! That actually happens?! Now, I live in a gated apartment community in the "nice" side of town...it's not like I'm near the projects or anything. I, nor him, could believe that happened here. This is not reassuring about the safety of the place I'm living. So, fyi: people really DO steal cable...and they'll do it anywhere.
So, to the person who TRIED to steal my cable, but was incapable of knowing how to do anything but just cut my cable...if you're gonna interrupt people's nightly routines, at least do it right. Good grief!
Ha. Thank GOD we didn't lose power during any of this snow. I wouldn't have known what to do with myself! But this only happened yesterday-- where ya been?
